About Me
Martin Hazine was born in Kuwait 29 years ago. For the first eight years of my life I moved around with my parents between Bethlehem, Amman, and the United States. Although I started my life in the middle east, I consider myself more American than middle eastern.
I started photographing in high school. I enjoyed photography but didn't continue it after high school until seven years later where I started becoming interested again in photography. At that time, digital cameras were making their way in the industry and I decided to get a basic digital camera. I've always enjoyed using electronic gadgets and being able to combine it with photography was a winning combination for me.
I started taking photographs of landscapes and macros, but thought it might be fun to photograph people. Ever since then, I've continued to work and develop my photographs with the intention to exhibit my work in galleries and become famous for my photography.
I enjoy the work of Helmut Newton, Philip Warner, Clayton James Cubitt, and many others. I consider a picture good if it can evoke a thought or emotion in the viewer.
